About PrankStar909

Meet Miguel, also known as PrankStar909 and is an oil painter and graffiti artist. He’s Colombian born and has lived in the United States his whole life. He currently resides in Miami, FL.

He was exposed to art at a young age by his uncle, who was also an artist. He’s self-taught and has a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Computer Animation.

He has a unique style, mixing realism with graffiti in his art. He begins by layering the canvas with black gesso, and once it dries, he starts sketching out the piece. From there he adds the details of his oil painting to create his piece. 

Artists that he has been influenced by include his uncle Edgar Millan, Vincent Van Gogh, Pablo Picasso, M.C. Escher, Bob Ross, Kre8, Per One, Saber, T-Kid, Can2, Ces, Risk, Mr. Cartoon, Tex Avery, Disney, and OG Slick to name a few.

Art has always been a part of his life, and he is so passionate. He loves that he’s able to participate in providing for the art world. He gives his heart and soul into all aspects of his artwork in order to amaze his audiences, so you could say he gives a piece of himself to each painting.
